It’s true that most quantitative studies have reported humans have caused approximately 100% of global warming since 1950. The idea that humans are responsible for “over 50 percent of warming” comes from the way consensus surveys have often been designed — 50% is typically used as the dividing line between mainstream and contrarian scientists.
